Y’all! It’s the Christmas Lights Ride, 2025 edition. Get things started at the Crown. Then we’ll get into the holiday spirit by riding around town and looking at the lights. Maybe somebody will bring holiday music. Mat may dress like Santa. A WAR classic every year. Be there.

Keeping it simple. The weather is amazing so let’s enjoy some beer gardens. We’ll start at Batch and aim to end up at Draught House with some riding and maybe a 3rd stop in there if we’re feeling ambitious, or thirsty.

The Charlton mission, should you choose to accept it:
The Hike-n-Bike Trail is going to be rerouted where it goes under I-35 to make way for construction starting 9/15. It’s not supposed to reopen until 2033. Let’s circumnavigate Ladybird Lake this Wednesday before it becomes a proper shit show.

It’s time for the annual “College Colors” ride, where folks put on branded merchandise from the various institutions of higher learning they attended and we ride bikes through campus and get funny looks from the youths. I’ve never owned a burnt orange article of clothing in my life, but people seem to enjoy doing this kind of thing. At any rate, we’re starting at the Crown, wherefrom good times always ensue. So put on your sportsball paraphernalia - or not - and come on down.
